Seventeen patients with mostly inoperable astrocytoma grade 3 or 4, received nutritional therapy and were compared to three groups of patients, being younger and more exposed to operation and irradiation. In spite of the higher abundance of negative prognostic factors, median survival of the nutritionally treated group ivas 18 months and ten days.
